Innovative project. Will the AI only adapt based on past judgments that are similar or will it also take current facts into account?

idée très innovante, qui répond à une vraie problématique !

I find this idea very innovative and useful, as lawyers and judges work on many cases at the same time, it saves time. I like the concept that AI does not totally replace the judge (that it intervenes only in case of appeal or cassation), because I think it would be complicated that a machine decides the fate of a human.

To answer to your question Axel, we are trying to develop a data base that regroups every cases from the last 50 years and it is important to take into account any changes in term of law so to keep the AI on the page of any changes in term of law ! It would be problematic to judge on laws that do not exist anymore.

To answer on Violette's comment, the AI will regulate judgements in order too save some precious time to the judges and any part involved in the case. But also make sure to get equality in term of judgement and don't take into account the social level of the person involved or the ethnic group. There may be some fraudulent judges.

That's a very innovative project project that could be very useful. I'm curious to see what happens next !

a very interesting idea that could impacts the structure of justice as it is today. I have only one question that comes to mind. As the laws from one country to another differs a lot, will you focus your project on only one country or area (EU countries has lot of similar laws) or will you choose another way to adapt your system?

Great idea, ! Do you think your concept can be effective in all type of cases?

I think it's a very good idea, that can be really useful for the future

I think using AI as a tool is the future but I was wondering how using past cases as data would help eradicate discrimination. Indeed if there was discrimination before and the tool uses these cases to support your decision, isn’t your decision also biased by the discrimination of others before ?

Good idea, but the company Optimalex is developing a similar idea, try to get inspired and develop a differentiating asset

I love this project. It will surely help the justice processes and avoid useful steps !

Very interesting idea I really like the project.

There are probably a lot of international restrictions regarding this data, how do you plan to deal with this?

  • plus de 2 ans

Very good and promising initiative ! The problem pointed is very relevant! What specific actions do you have in mind ?

  • plus de 2 ans

Brilliant idea which could really help us move forward socially. That being said, should the focus be on the past or on the present and future when focusing on justice? And shouldn't there be some sort of bias during judgement when looking at remorse or other emotions displayed?

Interesting idea ! However have you thought about the different AI biaises such as the systematic and unfair discrimination towards certain groups of people based on their race, gender, religion ?

  • plus de 2 ans

Good idea ! Bringing in the IA in your idea is very innovative and focused on the future. /it will help cases being judge correctly and more efficiently.

    Very useful idea !

A very thoughtful and innovative idea that will lead to more effective and fair judgments in some cases. AI is the future of our economy and can play a very important role in legislation

  • plus de 2 ans

I think there is potential behind this idea but at the same time even though legal cases may look the same they are in fact all unique and how can we control the work done by artificial intelligence? Would someone be in charge of controlling it or do you want to trust it 100%?

  • plus de 2 ans

innovative idea but also very complicated to set up as justice is a very touchy subject as it plays with people's lives

  • plus de 2 ans

Very good idea and innovative, I just wanted to know how an IA can replace the judgement of a judge, is it additional ? Or the objective is that AI is going to replace it for the future?

  • plus de 2 ans

This project proposes a system for institutions and regulatory bodies that would utilize big data and AI to address issues in the judicial system. The system would provide past case law and judgments related to a case and use AI to calculate the level of deviation between the law and the decision based on sociological criteria. This project has the potential to improve the fairness and efficiency of the judicial system.

I really like this idea and it answer to a problematic. Very good to use AI in addition with justice, an innovative tool.

  • plus de 2 ans

This is a very interesting idea. My questions for this topic are: What type of AIs will be used for the project? We know that it happened in the past that an AI because of the interactions with humans have deviant ideas, how to make the AI totally objective?

  • plus de 2 ans

Interesting approach but be careful to implement it carefully to ensure success. Care must be taken to ensure that the data used to feed the system is not biased so as not to lead to incorrect results.

  • plus de 2 ans

This is a very good idea in my opinion even though it is a complex and not easy topic, there is a future in it and a real background that can seriously improve the field involved.

  • plus de 2 ans

Very good idea, but I don't know if the concept of replacing human judgement will really be applicable, how do you think it would be possible?

  • plus de 2 ans

The idea of setting up a system to help judicial institutions access past cases and use AI to assess the level of compliance between laws and decisions is interesting. This could help judges to make more fair and equitable decisions. However, we need to be cautious about using AI in this area and ensure that the results are accurate and unbiased. It is therefore important to conduct thorough studies before implementing this system.
